Terms of Use

1. Introduction
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the VERDIO platform.
By creating an account, purchasing an assessment, or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Business Use Only
VERDIO is intended exclusively for business and professional use.
By using the platform, you confirm that:
- You are acting in a professional or organisational capacity;
- You are not acting as a private consumer;
- You have authority to bind the organisation on whose behalf you act.
VERDIO does not contract with private consumers.
3. Description of Service
VERDIO provides structured regulatory readiness assessments aligned with selected EU legal frameworks.
The service:
- Evaluates user-provided responses against predefined framework logic
- Generates structured status mapping
- Produces explanatory summaries
- Provides downloadable reports
VERDIO does not:
- Provide legal advice
- Provide certification
- Provide audit opinions
- Represent users before regulators
4. Assessment Structure and Immutability
Each assessment:
- Is purchased per framework
- Is accessible after payment confirmation
- Becomes immutable upon submission
Once submitted:
- Responses cannot be edited
- Results cannot be modified
- Framework version is locked
To reassess, a new assessment must be purchased.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is required prior to accessing an assessment.
All purchases are one-time and per framework.
VERDIO does not operate on a subscription basis.
All sales are final.
Refunds are considered only in cases of verified technical failure preventing completion of a purchased assessment.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the VERDIO platform, including:
- Assessment structure
- Question sets
- Framework mappings
- Scoring logic
- Reports
- Platform design
is the intellectual property of VERDIO unless otherwise stated.
Users may not:
- Reproduce assessment logic
- Extract question databases
- Reverse engineer scoring systems
- Redistribute platform content
Purchased reports may be used internally within the purchasing organisation.
7. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information
- Ensuring lawful data entry
- Maintaining account security
- Not uploading unlawful or infringing content
VERDIO is not responsible for inaccuracies resulting from incorrect user input.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
VERDIO shall not be liable for:
- Regulatory fines
- Compliance failures
- Business losses
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Decisions made based on assessment results
The platform provides structured readiness visibility only.
Liability, where applicable, shall be limited to the amount paid for the relevant assessment.
9. No Warranty
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available".
VERDIO does not guarantee:
- Regulatory outcomes
- Continuous availability
- Error-free operation
- Suitability for a specific purpose
10. Suspension and Termination
VERDIO reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts where:
- Terms are violated
- Platform misuse occurs
- Unlawful content is uploaded
Termination does not entitle the user to a refund.
11. Data Protection
Personal data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy.
Where VERDIO acts as a processor, a Data Processing Agreement applies.
12. Modifications
VERDIO may update these Terms periodically.
Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Dutch law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
